Here is the work-around. Put the design into the free program, My Editor. pes and rename it. Then in My Editor you will have options to save it again, choose Generic V-1 DO NOT USE THE BROTHER FORMAT. Your file will then show up. I have no idea why this works, but it does. I was ready to tear my hair out since my Baby Lock will be a brick without Ped-Basic. Finally that mystery is solved. I hope that Brother will take the time to put this work-around online for those of us with older machines. I would think the same work around would apply to other formats. Good luck. I found the link to download two. I followed the instructions… but error says module not found. com and get the latest PED driver. Do not use the CD! It will not work from the CD.
